My journey into private security and digital marketing have always been intertwined.
When I left the Navy in 2019 I started a blog about military-to-civilian transitions to become the resource I wish I had several years before.
While exploring ways to monetize my digital presence I clicked on every Facebook ad imaginable targeted towards military servicemembers and veterans so I had a better understanding of how to dial in my own campaigns.
Eventually I came across an ad for a well-known executive protection school and went down the rabbit-hole into the EP world.
I had already been working in private security and knew the industry gave me a sense of purpose comparable to that of my military service.
The more I dug into podcasts and books about EP the more I heard the same conversations repeated about personal branding and marketing that I thought I had left behind in the content creator/e-commerce world.
I disliked much of the affiliate marketing space because it felt like there were very few genuinely good products or services to promote.
I had a major light-bulb moment in mid-2022 when I realized the best service I could possibly promote is security.
As a single security guard I may only be able to stand one post and help one client.
As a marketer I can help bring security services to everyone.
I believe that, if done right, we can make the world safer through marketing.
